Spirex is an abstract game for 2 players. It is like Hex on a different board. The name is a combination of the words “Spiral” and “Hex”. The board is based on a type of Fermat’s spiral which appears in sunflowers and uses Sacred Geometry.

Play on the following board:

Pieces

One player has white stones. The other has black stones.

Play

Players alternate placing one stone on a green intersection or the node in the middle (Yin-Yang symbol). A player may place a stone in the middle only if he has at least 6 stones of his color on adjacent nodes. White moves first.

Win

The player to connect one of the three nodes of his color on one side of the board with one of the three nodes of his color on the opposite side of the board wins the game.
